About the role
This is a rare “tech + experience” role where you’ll be the person who makes the room work — every time. From executive meetings to all-hands, partner tours to immersive demos, you’ll own the audio-visual (A/V) and meeting technology that brings Pax8 HQ to life. You’ll also be part of our AI-era journey, using new tools and automation to make experiences smoother, faster, and more memorable — growing alongside the technology you help introduce.
Responsibilities
- Run the room (and the moment): Set up, operate, and maintain workplace A/V across meeting rooms, event spaces, and production environments — ensuring everything works seamlessly when it matters most.
- Support high-visibility events: Provide calm, confident hands-on support during town halls, all-hands, live events, and executive presentations — including real-time troubleshooting under pressure.
- Partner across teams: Collaborate closely with Events, IT, and Production/Studios teams to deliver polished, on-brand experiences across Pax8 HQ.
- Enable others: Train employees on workplace meeting and A/V technology, creating simple, accessible guides that make set-ups easy and repeatable.
- Own vendor relationships: Manage A/V vendors, contracts, and service relationships — coordinating escalations, preventative maintenance, and improvements.
- Deliver concierge-style support: Provide welcoming, responsive support for employees and visitors, helping the workplace feel effortless and highly functional.
- Keep workplace systems sharp: Help manage room booking, visitor check-in, digital signage, and workplace tech systems — tracking requests and using insights to improve.
- Innovate with AI and automation: Spot opportunities to automate workflows, improve support journeys, and make work easier through AI-enabled tools and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting professional audio-visual (A/V) and meeting technology in environments such as corporate offices, live events, or production spaces.
- Strong real-time troubleshooting instincts — you can stay calm, diagnose quickly, and keep the experience moving even when something goes sideways.
- A service mindset: you genuinely enjoy helping people and take pride in making their experience smoother and more welcoming.
- Clear, collaborative communication — you work well across teams and can translate technical concepts into simple guidance.
- Curiosity and confidence exploring new tools, including AI and automation, to continuously improve how the workplace runs.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms (or similar conferencing platforms) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ticketing/helpdesk systems (such as ServiceNow) is helpful, but not required.
- B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
