Workplace Technology & Facilities Specialist

Position Summary

Keep the most impressive office at Moxie running smoothly. Moxie Pest Control is not your average workplace. It has a bowling alley, a golf simulator, a frozen yogurt machine, a full event space, and a wall of technology behind all of it, and you are the person who keeps it running without a hitch. As our Workplace Technology & Facilities Specialist, you are the go-to for everything from streaming a live training to fixing a Coke Freestyle machine to setting the stage for a company-wide event. If you’re the person everyone calls when something breaks, and you love being the one who figures it out, then this is going to be the most fun facilities job you’ll ever have.

Responsibilities

• Make big events look effortless. From company-wide trainings to guest speakers and big celebrations, you’ll own the technology and setup that make everything run smoothly.
• Keep an incredible workplace incredible. Make sure everything from the essentials to the fun stuff works the way it should—from HVAC, plumbing, and access control to the movie theater, pickleball court, and arcade.
• Handle basic repairs yourself and bring in the right vendors when you need them. Be the person who can fix it. When someone’s computer won’t connect, the TV won’t cooperate, or a Zoom Room decides today is the day to stop working, you’re the hero who saves the day.
• Troubleshoot everyday technology issues for the team and bring in the right experts when something needs deeper network or security support.
• Own the technology. Make sure our team has the equipment they need and that it works when they need it. Set up and maintain office technology, keep track of equipment, handle returns, and know when something needs to be repaired or replaced.
• Create simple, repeatable processes for technology, events, and facilities so the next setup is faster, the next issue is easier to troubleshoot, and everyone knows what to do.
• Respond when it counts. When something important needs attention, you're someone the team can count on. Jump in quickly when urgent issues come up, especially during events, trainings, and after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• You love troubleshooting technology. You love figuring out how things work, you're comfortable with Apple products, Wi-Fi networks, and AV equipment, and you're just as comfortable working with your hands as you are troubleshooting technology.
• You take ownership. When you spot a problem, you don't wait for someone else to handle it. You figure out what needs to happen and follow through until it's solved.
• You’re at your best when the pressure is on. When everyone else starts to panic, you get focused. You think clearly, troubleshoot quickly, and have a reputation for being the person who can bring order to chaos.
• You see problems a mile away. You notice the little things other people miss and take care of them before they become bigger problems.
• You know what needs your attention first. You can juggle competing priorities, make good judgment calls, and move quickly when something is urgent.
• You thrive when every day is different. New challenges energize you, and you're comfortable with a schedule that can change with the needs of the business—from evening events to the occasional early morning or off-site need.

The Practical Stuff

• Able to travel up to 10% when needed.
• Able to lift and maneuver 75 to 100 lbs on occasion.

Pay and Schedule

Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 20 to 40 hours per week, with potential to extend based on performance
Seasonal: Sep to Apr; office open Monday to Saturday, evening availability required, especially Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday events as needed.
