About the role

As a CBRE Workplace Experience Manager, you will manage employees who oversee the delivery of workplace experience services. Examples of services include Concierge, Reception, Meeting & Event Management, and administrative office duties. This role is part of the Workplace Experience function, responsible for providing world-class customer service to clients and visitors of a designated building.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, including setting work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships; negotiate priorities with clients, partners, and associates.
  • Ensure efficient and consistent support from the team; suggest process improvements regularly.
  • Assist with developing strategic solutions and assess technological and training needs for teams and clients.
  • Follow safety standards with employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Develop vendor partnerships for cost-saving efforts; manage contract negotiations and confirm vendor compliance (e.g., insurance, documentation).
  • Oversee programs run by third-party vendors, such as food delivery, event organization, transportation, or mail distribution.
  • Ensure all invoices for business services are billed accurately.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and influencing parties to reach agreements.
  • Apply knowledge of your discipline and its integration with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues in existing systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, appraisal, and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide sensitive, complicated, or difficult information exchanges, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
