Workplace Experience & Facility Support Technician
About the Role
UG2 Facility Services is seeking a Workplace Experience & Facility Support Technician to provide professional, client-focused workplace and facility support services. This front-line role supports workplace presentation, facility readiness, work order coordination, restroom refresh services, inventory management, hospitality, and approved light handyman activities.
Responsibilities
Workplace & Facility Support
- Conduct routine floor walks and workplace inspections across assigned areas.
- Identify and report facility, cleanliness, safety, furniture, signage, restroom, pantry, meeting room, and presentation concerns.
- Respond promptly to on-demand workplace and facility support requests.
- Support daily workplace readiness and an exceptional associate and visitor experience.
- Maintain professional relationships with client associates, vendors, building management, and workplace partners.
- Follow all UG2 and client site protocols, safety requirements, dress standards, and workplace etiquette.
- Perform approved light handyman and workplace support activities within established scope.
- Provide photos, completion notes, observations, and status updates as required.
- Participate in daily briefings, meetings, email communications, and stakeholder follow-up.
Work Order Management & Reporting
- Create, update, monitor, and close workplace and facility-related work orders.
- Document issues identified during floor walks, inspections, service calls, and associate requests.
- Provide accurate descriptions, locations, photographs, and escalation notes.
- Track issues involving furniture, lighting, pests, flooring, doors, blinds, restrooms, pantries, cleanliness, and general facility presentation.
- Coordinate with UG2 teams, client representatives, office services, janitorial providers, building management, engineering teams, and approved vendors.
- Track recurring issues and communicate trends requiring additional attention.
- Provide timely updates on open items, completed work, escalations, and vendor follow-up.
- Confirm completed work areas are clean, orderly, and ready for use.
Workplace Experience & Hospitality
- Maintain lounges, collaboration areas, visitor offices, conference rooms, meeting rooms, pantries, and common areas.
- Reset meeting and conference rooms to established presentation standards.
- Arrange furniture, supplies, and basic room layouts.
- Wipe tables, chairs, conference surfaces, glass doors, glass boards, and visible high-touch areas.
- Remove fingerprints, smudges, trash, and other presentation concerns.
- Monitor and restock approved workplace consumables.
- Identify scuffs, stains, damaged finishes, missing supplies, and cleaning deficiencies.
- Coordinate with janitorial teams when specialty or building-standard cleaning is required.
- Support workplace, wellness, associate, and internal events through basic setup, refresh, supply placement, and post-event recovery.
Inventory & Supply Management
- Maintain inventory of workplace, restroom, office, meeting room, wellness, and visitor supplies.
- Restock meeting room supplies, copy paper, wellness consumables, and other approved materials.
- Maintain organized storage rooms and supply areas.
- Monitor usage and identify replenishment requirements.
- Report toner and other supply replacement needs.
- Maintain stock of file boxes, crates, labels, and move-support materials.
- Coordinate with approved vendors for additional supplies or service support.
Safety, Quality & Scope
- Follow all UG2, client, building, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Use required PPE and follow approved safe work practices.
- Properly handle and store cleaning products and approved chemicals.
- Immediately report safety hazards, incidents, property damage, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Complete required UG2 and client training.
- Perform services according to established quality and service-level standards.
- Scope Limitation: The technician will not perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life-safety, building automation, structural, elevator, engineering, licensed trade, or union-represented maintenance work unless specifically authorized, trained, and legally permitted. Conditions outside the technician's scope must be identified, documented, communicated, and appropriately escalated.
Qualifications
- Experience in facilities, workplace services, hospitality, janitorial/dayporter services, office services, property operations, or a related field.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance, communication, and workplace conduct.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced client environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with work order, email, mobile, and workplace technology systems.
- Ability to document work through written notes, photographs, and electronic systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and safe work practices.
- Ability to perform routine physical activities associated with workplace support.
- Willingness to learn client-specific procedures, UG2 standards, and technology platforms.
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
