About the role

The Workforce Systems Officer role involves a diverse workload requiring excellent IT skills for managing various workforce systems, alongside strong written and verbal communication. This position is ideal for someone who excels in providing first-class support and high-quality service to IT system end users. You will support colleagues in the Workforce Systems Administrator role, including day-to-day supervision and personal development.

You will play a key role in supporting all areas of the organisation, addressing challenging technical and procedural queries with timely resolutions. The team ensures accurate and timely maintenance of Healthroster and ESR systems, producing and circulating key reports to all levels of the Trust. You will have opportunities to apply your skills, liaise with diverse internal and external representatives, and work autonomously in a professional yet friendly environment.

Responsibilities

  • System administration, security, and accuracy of the Trust’s Workforce Systems.
  • Accurate input of pay-impacting information into the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
  • Ensure ESR and eRostering are maintained according to Trust policy and procedure within budget.
  • Troubleshoot issues regarding ESR and eRostering to ensure effective system functionality.
  • Provide day-to-day support for staff and investigate errors or dysfunctions promptly.
  • Support local training programmes for ESR and eRostering.
  • Act as the expert point of contact for assigned areas, ensuring adherence to Trust policies.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support in the use of the Trust’s workforce systems.
