Workforce Education Trainer

About the role

The Workforce Trainers at Waubonsee Community College provide skills-based training and experiences in a traditional or non-traditional classroom setting and/or lab environment. They deliver training specific to participants enrolled in Workforce Education offerings across the career continuum, including career starters, career changes, and career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training needs assessment using various techniques
• Provide interactive and engaging training sessions for individuals, groups, and companies using alternative and non-traditional methodologies appropriate for adult learners
• Collaborate with the Workforce Education Program Manager to prepare and/or select education materials
• Aid in the development and/or evaluation of new curricula and program designs

Requirements

• College degree in a related field OR industry-recognized credential in the discipline of instruction with 5-10 years of work-related experience in the discipline of instruction
• Experience with field training and/or classroom instruction preferred
• Comfortable and capable of demonstrating competency using video conferencing platforms and instructional technologies

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, particularly Power BI and Teams
• Knowledge of PMP Certification preferred
