Responsibilities
- Conduct needs assessments and assist in developing Individualized Employment Plans.
- Provide career counseling, work search activities, and skill advancement information.
- Assist with Employment Services (ES) programs such as Wagner-Peyser, TAA, MSFW, and Veteran Services Program.
- Greet customers, perform initial assessments, and refer them to appropriate programs.
- Provide workforce services operated by DEW in SC Works Centers.
- Provide ongoing support with Resource Room duties.
- Refer work-ready clients to Business Consultants and run applicant searches.
- Perform case management, Resource Room assistance, client services for jobseekers and employers, and outreach as outlined in the Region Plan.
- May require periodic overnight travel and evening/weekend work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and experience in career counseling or related case management; OR a high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in client-centered case management, counseling, or a related field.
- Must be able to drive routinely as part of the job.
- Scheduled travel to Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties is required.
