About the role

Our client is an extremely well-known national defense litigation firm with 12 offices across the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity.
• Prepare legal documents and reports with a high level of accuracy.
• Conduct depositions of claimants, medical personnel, and other relevant parties.
• Represent employers and carriers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
• Conduct and direct legal research to stay updated on current workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in conjunction with claims adjusters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• Proven track record in conducting depositions and trials.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and tasks.
• Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

$120,000 - $190,000 per year
