About the Opportunity:The WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIMS EXAMINER role involves analyzing and adjudicating Lost-Time Workers Compensation claims to determine benefits and ensure claims are handled within service standards and client requirements. This position directly contributes to effective claims resolution and client satisfaction by applying specialized knowledge in claims management. Responsibilities:Analyze and process claims using established action plans to reach timely resolutions.Investigate and gather information to assess claim exposure.Negotiate claim settlements within designated authority limits.Communicate claim status and processes with claimants and clients.Report claims to excess carriers and respond professionally to their inquiries. Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.3-5 years of claims management experience or equivalent.Professional certification relevant to the line of business preferred.Knowledge of New York jurisdiction required; New Jersey preferred.Licensing in New York required.Experience with Public Entity Workers Compensation preferred.
