Responsibilities

• Analyze and process Lost-Time Workers' Compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure and develop action plans for timely resolution.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to their requests professionally and promptly.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Public Entity Workers' Compensation experience preferred.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: New York (required); New Jersey (preferred).
• Licensing: New York (required).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business (preferred).

• Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
• Physical: Computer keyboarding.

Pay

For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting, the range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 - $95,000. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location.
