Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process workers compensation claims through well-developed action plans to achieve timely resolution by investigating and gathering information to determine claim exposure.
  • Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
  • Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
  • Report claims to excess carriers and respond to their requests in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be licensed in California or Nevada.
  • Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.

  • Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
  • Physical: Computer keyboarding.
  • Auditory/Visual: Hearing, vision, and talking.

Pay

For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting, the range of starting pay for this role is $80,000–$100,000. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location.
