About the role
As a Workers' Compensation Claims Coordinator, you will own the initial phase of every claim, from incident intake to documentation and stakeholder communication. This role requires a balance of precision and empathy, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of claims while maintaining client and claimant trust.
Responsibilities
- Intake and process all workplace incidents and workers' compensation claims accurately and efficiently within the claims management system
- Initiate, prepare, and distribute required forms and compliance documents, including WC-14s, Authorizations for Use, IME scheduling, and subpoena responses
- Manage the ServiceFirst queue daily, triaging inquiries, resolving issues at the first point of contact, and escalating appropriately
- Coordinate timely vendor and attorney payments, document follow-up, and disbursement tracking to ensure zero missed obligations
- Deliver proactive, consistent updates to clients and claimants throughout the claim lifecycle, building trust through transparency and responsiveness
- Maintain documentation integrity across all claim files to meet compliance standards and support internal reporting
Requirements
- You are service-oriented, organized, and thrive in fast-paced environments where accuracy matters
- You can juggle multiple deadlines while remaining calm and professional with claimants and clients alike
- You have experience handling high-volume client communication in claims, insurance, or legal environments
- You are familiar with compliance-heavy workflows such as medical records, subpoenas, incident forms, and vendor invoices
- You are skilled in navigating claims systems, intake tools, and internal case queues to manage and track tasks
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, especially under pressure
- You have proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet service-level expectations
- You are comfortable working cross-functionally with external parties (e.g., clients, doctors, attorneys, vendors) and internal teams
Qualifications
- You have experience in a claims, insurance, or legally adjacent environment
- You have a proven ability to stay organized under pressure while treating people well
Skills
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with claims management systems and intake tools
- Experience with compliance-heavy workflows
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory standards
