About the role

The Workers’ Compensation Claims Coordinator is an entry-level position primarily responsible for the intake and processing of claims reports from clients to carrier, as well as data entry and report creation. This is a client-facing role requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of workers’ compensation rules, regulations, laws, and procedures is not a prerequisite. This is a full-time hybrid opportunity based in our Albany, NY or NYC office, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients regarding new and existing claims.
  • Complete carrier First Report of Injury based on clients’ report of claims.
  • Serve as the point of contact and intermediary between client, carrier, claimant, and medical provider.
  • Perform data entry into both carrier first report of injury platform and local database.
  • Work in Microsoft Excel to create meaningful and presentable claims trending reports using client claims data.
  • Support and collaborate with the existing claims team.

Requirements

  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of the remainder of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask, follow up, and work within deadlines.
  • Must be able to learn and work within a team structure.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of client-facing or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $40,000 – $52,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Schedule

Full-time hybrid role, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, based in Albany, NY or NYC.
