We are a growing multi-state law firm hiring a fully remote Workers' Compensation Attorney to manage sophisticated California litigation end-to-end, backed by attorney-developed AI tools and an accelerated partnership track.

About the role

You will own a caseload of California workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution with full litigation autonomy, partner directly with insurance carriers and employers, and leverage proprietary AI and case-management technology to drive efficiency and case quality.

Responsibilities

  • Own a caseload of California workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution
  • Take and defend depositions; represent clients at MSCs, hearings, and trials
  • Partner directly with insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators on strategy and settlement
  • Leverage the firm’s proprietary AI and case-management technology to increase efficiency and case quality
  • Maintain proactive, strategic communication with clients and stakeholders throughout every phase
  • Collaborate with firm mentors and leadership on professional development and partnership milestones

Requirements

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing
  • 1+ years of California workers’ compensation litigation experience
  • Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions and appearing at hearings or trials
  • Strong written and verbal advocacy skills with a proactive case-management mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience working with insurers or third-party administrators
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted legal research or case management platforms
  • Multi-state workers’ compensation exposure

Schedule

Fully remote; must be based in California. Occasional travel required for depositions, client meetings, and court appearances (primarily Southern California). Premium office locations with public transit access are available for in-person days.

Pay

Base salary: $150,000 – $220,000 (depending on experience). Quarterly performance bonuses plus additional billing credit incentives.
