Workers Comp Def Associate

About the role

We are growing and seeking several Workers' Compensation Associates to work alongside established and experienced teams in our Atlanta office. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced teams to provide high-quality legal services in workers' compensation defense.
• Advise clients on workers' compensation claims and defenses.
• Prepare and present legal arguments in court and administrative hearings.
• Manage case files and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-Approved Law School
• Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia
• At minimum, 1 year of workers' compensation defense law experience or a passion for workers' compensation defense law

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations
• Experience with legal research and writing
• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Strong attention to detail

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The preference for this position is that the associate hired for this position spends 3+ days in the office each week. Opportunities to work remotely may arise once the attorney gains a basic understanding of the firm systems and team processes.
