Worker I - Early Help, Dietary, Full-Time

About the Role

Performs a variety of food service and sanitation duties, including cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment. Prepares hot and cold foods for patients, cafeteria, and special events. Assembles and serves food to patients and customers of all ages. Provides cashier services, stocks vending machines, and manages inventory of dry goods, paper products, and refrigerated/frozen items. Monitors computer system for diet orders, verifies with menus, and ensures accurate meal delivery.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Some computer knowledge
• Training in nutrition or dietary management preferred
• Ability to understand instructions, communicate effectively, and adapt to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety, basic food groups, and resource materials
• Physical stamina for long hours standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
