Workday Technical Analyst
About the role
The Workday Technical Analyst position at Corporate At Houston Methodist is responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and ongoing support of the Workday platform. This role serves as a technical subject matter expert, translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and optimized Workday solutions. The analyst partners closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external vendors to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with business and IT teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver effective Workday solutions.
- Provides technical guidance and training to peers and end users on Workday functionality, integrations, and reporting.
- Buils strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure aligned priorities and efficient problem resolution.
- Configures, tests, and deploys Workday enhancements, integrations, and security updates in alignment with organizational standards.
- Maintains and monitors Workday integrations, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing across connected systems.
- Provides tier-2/3 support for Workday technical issues, resolving incidents within defined SLAs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required or four additional years of experience required in lieu of degree.
- Five years IT experience to include three years in senior level engineer, analyst or consultant role.
- Houston Methodist Workday project team member plus two additional years of demonstrated progressive responsibility satisfies all experience requirements.
- Three years of experience in ERP integration.
- Experience with Workday, Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.
- Experience integrating Workday with third-party systems preferred.
Skills
- Demonstrated skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job.
- Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
