Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the System Integrator (SI), City IT teams, and project leadership to guide key areas like integration, data migration, security design, and environment strategy.
- Help ensure we’re using Workday the right way—leveraging delivered functionality, avoiding unnecessary customization, and building a solution that’s scalable and maintainable.
- Act as a go-to resource for design decisions and technical risks, helping the team stay on track and maintain quality throughout the implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Twelve (12) years of enterprise technology experience.
- Seven (7) years serving as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect on large-scale implementations.
- Demonstrated experience designing and governing enterprise application, integration, and data architectures.
- Experience leading architecture reviews and establishing technical standards and governance processes.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration platforms, cybersecurity principles, and enterprise application design.
- Experience supporting ERP, HCM, or enterprise SaaS implementations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public sector implementation experience.
- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
- Experience with Workday, Oracle Cloud, SAP, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Experience supporting large-scale municipal, county, or state government programs.

- Local in the Chicagoland area.
