Responsibilities
- Function as a primary Workday Analyst for HR, Benefits, and Payroll office configuration, integrations, security, and reporting needs.
- Analyze functional business requirements and configure Workday solutions that align with University business processes, security standards, and Workday best practices.
- Configure and maintain the Workday HCM system, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with HR processes.
- Gather requirements, understand functional business processes, advise functional office staff on best practices, and research solutions to problems.
- Develop, support, and maintain integrations with HCM related vendors and products that connect with Workday.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, ITS colleagues, consultants, and third-party vendors to deliver effective Workday solutions and resolve complex technical issues.
- Participate in the integration of Workday with other systems, ensure seamless data flow between platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data extracts that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, configuration standards, and testing materials for assigned Workday functional areas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related issues, providing timely support to end-users.
- Take an active role in the Workday release cycle, staying abreast of changes in Workday and advising functional offices of areas on the continuous improvement of business processes and adoption of new features.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus two years of post-production support experience with at least two of the following Workday HCM areas: Recruiting, Core HCM, Advance Compensation, Talent Management and Benefits or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Hands-on experience configuring and enhancing business processes, condition rules, notifications, alerts in all or a combination of at least two of the Recruiting, HCM, Advanced Compensation, and Benefits functional areas.
- Experience developing and maintaining calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and report writer solutions.
- Experience in building and maintaining RaaS APIs, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connectors and/or Studio.
- Basic understanding of Workday security contextual to Business Process, Integrations and Reporting writing.
- Experience planning, testing, and implementing Workday’s bi-annual feature release.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to both understand functional business needs and explain technical possibilities and difficulties.
