Workday Financials Sr Consultant

About the role
As a Workday Financials Senior Consultant, you will lead project workstreams, identify and document business requirements, provide functional design, prototyping (including scenario design and flow mapping), testing, user training, and define support procedures. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating schedules, creating documentation and collateral, executing test/use cases, configuring Workday software, prioritizing and sequencing workstream efforts, and assisting project leadership as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead project workstreams for Workday Financials implementations.
- Identify and document business requirements and functional designs.
- Develop prototypes, including scenario design and flow mapping.
- Conduct testing, user training, and define support procedures.
- Coordinate schedules, create documentation, and execute test/use cases.
- Configure Workday software and assist with prioritization of workstream efforts.
- Support project leadership as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of consulting or industry experience in Workday Financials/ERP finance domain.
- 2+ years of experience leading Financials workstreams and project teams.
- Workday Financials Professional certification or ability to obtain upon joining.
- A minimum of 1 full life cycle Workday Financial implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Record to Report, Procure-to-Pay (PTP), or Order-to-Cash (OTC).
- Willingness to travel 50%, on average, based on client needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in a relevant area of specialization.
- Functional knowledge of financial systems and processes.
- Experience defining systems strategy, requirements, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
- Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
Pay
The wage range for this role is $116,000 to $229,100, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Compensation decisions depend on individual circumstances. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
