Workday Financials Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Senior Project Manager to lead a complex, enterprise-wide financial systems implementation. This highly visible role will oversee project execution, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, manage implementation partners, and ensure successful delivery from planning through go-live and post-launch support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Financials, managing timelines, deliverables, resources, and dependencies.
• Coordinate across Finance, Accounting, IT, Security, Infrastructure, and other key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external implementation partners.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, status reporting, and project governance.
• Identify and manage project risks, roadblocks, dependencies, and scope changes.
• Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable for milestones and deliverables.
• Provide regular project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead the project through implementation, deployment, and post-live support.
• Ensure systems and processes are designed to support future integration and scalability.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading enterprise financial ERP implementations.
• Proven experience managing complex projects from planning through go-live.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and core accounting/finance processes.
• Experience coordinating technical and functional teams across multiple workstreams.
• Strong project management, risk management, budgeting, and resource planning skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with senior leadership.
• Experience with Workday or similar financial ERP systems strongly preferred.
• Experience with Workday HCM or related system integrations is a plus.
