Workday Financials Senior Consultant
About the Role
Deloitte's Emerging ERP Solutions practice focuses on cloud-based ERP applications like Workday Financials and Infor, transforming finance and supply-chain processes to make them more efficient and cost-effective. Our teams leverage Deloitte's expertise to deliver lasting results for clients by working closely with CFOs, CIOs, and Business Unit leaders across various industries. This role involves projects in Workday Financials, Supply Chain Management, Infor Solutions, Microsoft Dynamics, and Sustainability Technology and Strategy.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant, you will:
- Lead project workstreams, including identification and documentation of business requirements and requirements management.
- Provide functional design, prototyping (including scenario design and flow mapping), testing, user training, and define support procedures.
- Coordinate schedules, create documentation and collateral, and execute test/use cases.
- Configure Workday software and assist with prioritization and sequencing of workstream efforts.
- Support project leadership as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading workstreams or small teams.
- Workday Financials Professional certification or capability to obtain upon joining.
- A minimum of 1 full life cycle Workday Financial implementation.
- Hands-on functional experience in multiple business processes, such as:
- Record-to-Report (RtR)
- Procure-to-Pay (PTP)
- Order-to-Cash (OTC)
- Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on project needs.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other leading cloud-based SaaS financial applications (e.g., NetSuite, Fusion, Intacct, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Lawson).
- An advanced degree in a specialized area.
- Strong functional knowledge of financial systems and processes.
- Proven skills as a team member, team lead, or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation.
- Experience defining systems strategy, developing requirements, designing prototypes, testing, training, and implementing solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
- Willingness to mentor junior staff.
- Commitment to gaining exposure to multiple industries.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients.
Pay
The wage range for this role is $107,600 to $198,400, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. Compensation decisions depend on individual and organizational performance. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
