Senior Workday Financial Consultant

We are hiring a strategic leader and subject matter expert to design, implement, and govern complex Workday Financial Management solutions. You’ll guide transformation programs that improve visibility, efficiency, and control in financial operations, particularly within public sector or state environments.

About the role

As a Senior Workday Finance Consultant, you will serve as a subject matter expert, advising clients on the strategic implementation and optimization of Workday Financial solutions. You will utilize your comprehensive knowledge of Workday's financial modules to drive business outcomes for clients. This role can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead client consultations: Provide expert guidance on complex financial processes, aligning system configuration with client business needs and ensuring efficient workflows across all relevant modules.
• Drive system configuration: Configure Workday Financial solutions to meet client requirements, leveraging deep understanding of government financial principles and practices.
• Deliver training sessions: Conduct training for end-users to enable effective utilization of Workday's financial modules.
• Troubleshoot issues: Identify and resolve issues, providing ongoing support to clients post-implementation.
• Optimize financial processes: Apply expertise in financial process reengineering, data analysis, and change management to optimize client financial processes.

Requirements

• Workday certification is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Workday's financial modules, including Cash & Assets, Customers & Projects, Grants & Endowments, Planning, Record to Report, Spend, and Supply Chain & Inventory.
• Experience with financial process reengineering, leveraging data analysis and change management to drive business outcomes.
• Experience leading consultations on complex financial processes and aligning system configuration with client business needs.
• Experience configuring and optimizing Workday Financial solutions to meet client requirements.
• Deep understanding of government financial principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Advanced financial analysis expertise, with the ability to leverage data insights to inform business decisions.
• Experience with organizational change management and developing effective change strategies to drive adoption and minimize disruption.
• Deep understanding of financial planning principles and practices for government.
