Workday AMS Adaptive Planning Consultant
About the role
We help our clients transform their business planning needs from a post-production standpoint using the Adaptive Planning Business Planning Cloud. You will work in a team or independently, contributing to all phases of Adaptive Planning implementation projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise on the Adaptive Planning solution and maintain proficiency and certification in the Adaptive Planning solution suite.
- Contribute to implementation for our clients, including:
- Understanding clients' current planning processes and moving legacy models into Adaptive Planning.
- Recommend the best solution based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe, adapting the scope as needed.
- Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and unique business requirements.
- Develop and configure accurate forecasting and planning models to meet clients' business needs.
- Support the planning and delivery of training sessions for users.
- Document the planning models and reporting delivered to clients.
- Ensure rapid time to value through delivering engagements on time and budget.
- Support our clients to ensure success by communicating regularly, concisely, and clearly with clients to set proper expectations and ensure client success. Provide general customer service and assist with project-related inquiries.
- Collaborate internally by sharing learnings and problems solved with colleagues.
Requirements
- Financial and/or management accounting experience, particularly budgeting, planning, and management reporting.
- Exposure to designing and building complex financial planning models, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience implementing at least one Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Host Analytics, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion).
- Strong communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact, credibility, and empathy, including in a remote working situation. Sound ability to formally present to senior Client audiences.
- Evident consulting skills e.g. presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating, and explaining complex functionality or solutions to customers.
- Able to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required).
Desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or Business.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or a Part Qualified Accountant with strong industry experience.
- Previous consulting experience.
