Workcamper Mobile Field Technician

About the role

Southern Cross is looking for hard-working and self-motivated people for several positions as Mobile Field Technicians. As a Mobile Field Technician, you will have the opportunity for travel while providing a valuable public safety service to our clients. This position is intended for individuals who own a fifth-wheel, travel trailer, or motorhome. Camper vans are permitted; however, you must have a separate vehicle for use during the workday.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process required data in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete work efficiently and meet all required completion dates
• Adhere to all safety and quality policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Follow all company and client safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures
• Serve the customer and exceed their expectations, as they are our first priority
• Work in residential, rural, commercial, and/or industrial settings

Requirements

• Valid, unexpired driver’s license
• Proficiency in using technology
• Experience as an RV Workcamper preferred but not required
• Willingness to deploy anywhere nationwide
• Must have a personal vehicle for daily work use
• Availability to attend 4-5 weeks of training at a location to be determined
• Access to a laptop, computer, and internet for virtual training
• Adherence to safety requirements and customer service experience
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and walk 3+ miles per day
• Must provide valid vehicle insurance coverage prior to the start of employment

Physical Requirements

• Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day
• Carry a minimum of 10 lbs. of equipment

Schedule

Full-time (8-10 hours daily); occasional weekends and overtime as needed.

Pay

The starting rate of pay is $19.00 per hour plus a $300 per week per diem. Mileage reimbursement, per diem, and travel stipend are paid for travel between assignments.
