Learning Objectives
Student Ambassadors will develop and demonstrate foundational professional competencies in customer service, communication, and student support by effectively assisting peers with college systems, resources, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Enhance problem-solving skills, digital literacy (e.g., My Tri-C Space navigation), and the ability to assess student needs and provide appropriate referrals.
- Support campus events and engage with diverse student populations to enhance leadership, teamwork, and intercultural competence.
- Represent the College confidently and apply institutional knowledge to real-world situations.
- Promote student success and completion by reflecting on one's role.
- Assist students with My Tri-C Space.
- Provide campus tours.
- Aid in on and off campus events such as open houses, NSO, college fairs, high school visits.
- Participate in leadership programs and attend student success workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Have completed at least 6 credit hours at Tri-C;
- Minimum GPA of 2.5;
- Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
- Adhere to College’s confidentiality policy;
- Successfully pass background/drug screening;
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends;
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service, reliability, effective leadership skills, and strong communication skills;
- Provide support to students during peak periods.
