About the Role
The Development Assistant supports the Development Team by assisting with donor and member events, prospect research, communications, and departmental projects. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development, arts administration, and donor stewardship while contributing to initiatives that advance ICP's mission.
Responsibilities
- Support donor and member events by assisting with event preparation, guest check-in, and on-site logistics.
- Photograph Development events and activities for stewardship, reports, and departmental communications.
- Organize and maintain digital images for departmental records.
- Assist with membership renewal projects and member communications.
- Conduct research on prospective individual, corporate, and foundation supporters, as well as artists, exhibitions, and programs that support fundraising initiatives.
- Assist with maintaining donor and member records in the Development database.
Requirements
- Interest in nonprofit organizations, museums, or arts administration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Schedule
Approximately 4-5 hours per week, with weekday shifts scheduled between 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Occasional evening (6:00 PM-8:00 PM) and weekend hours may be required to support donor and member events.
Eligibility
Only currently enrolled One-Year Certificate (OYC) students are eligible to apply. All applicants will be reviewed by the OYC Program Coordinator to confirm enrollment and eligibility.
