Job Details
As our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Work Comp Urgent Care, you will be a pivotal clinician, delivering the highest quality patient care and comprehensive occupational health services within our urgent care network. This role involves direct patient care in an outpatient setting – encompassing initial injury assessment, treatment, follow-up, and return-to-work planning for work-related injuries and illnesses, while contributing to clinical quality improvement initiatives and supporting our mission to provide accessible, efficient care for the injured workforce.
To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or occupational health, holding an active state license (or eligibility to obtain one), demonstrating a commitment to continuously developing personal and professional competence through ongoing medical education and maintaining applicable board certification. We seek candidates who embody the highest standards of medical ethics, possess strong communication skills for patient, employer, and administrative interactions, and are dedicated to actively engaging in clinic operational matters, peer review, quality improvement, and providing impactful community benefit services through efficient and compassionate care for the working population.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge base specific to specialty
- PA/NP degree from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program required.
- Graduate from an Accredited School
- PA/NP Licensure for; and listed on the state Registry required. Board certified as an Advanced Practice Practitioner, in applicable population foci and/or sub-specialty.
- BLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
- ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
- Have Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or have Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable for role with associated articulated plan.
- Work Comp Level 1 certification required by start date
- Must be comfortable with Work Comp
