About the role
As the Work Café Concierge, you are the primary customer-facing role within the Work Café, responsible for creating an engaging, welcoming, and professional environment for customers. You will coordinate co-working spaces, meeting facilities, and room bookings, assist with Work Café events and programming, and support customers with routine transactions while connecting them with specialized resources as needed. This role is key to delivering on Santander’s customer experience standards and fostering a sense of community.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all customers entering the Work Café, directing them professionally and engagingly to the appropriate areas.
- Create exceptional customer experiences with every interaction, taking personal responsibility for Santander’s and the Work Café’s customer experience standards.
- Serve as a self-service expert, proactively encouraging customers to embrace digital products and services by explaining their benefits.
- Support the Work Café Manager and Events Manager with specialized programming and events, including promotion, day-of activities (greeting, check-in, setup, cleanup), and coordination.
- Promote the Work Café’s services, including co-working, room bookings, and events.
- Manage and coordinate all customer and colleague room bookings, ensuring rooms are welcoming and in good order before and after appointments.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries by directing them to the appropriate Work Café area, facility, resource, or business partner.
- Collaborate with third-party baristas and cleaners to maintain a welcoming Work Café environment and address any issues effectively.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education (Required).
- 1+ years of customer service experience (Required).
- 1+ years of communications, marketing, or event-planning experience (Preferred).
- Enthusiasm for creating an exceptional customer experience (e.g., greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, knowing the community).
- Passion for demonstrating and promoting digital products and services.
- Skilled in customer engagement and creating a sense of community in the space.
- Ability to maintain a credible, trustworthy, and professional image at all times.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
- Flexibility and responsiveness in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to comply with policies and procedures.
- Strong computer knowledge and Windows skills (Required).
- Fluency in Spanish (Preferred).

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $30,000.00 USD to $47,000.00 USD annually, based on a 40-hour work week for hourly (non-exempt) roles. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and location.
Schedule
This role requires frequent minimal physical effort, such as sitting, standing, and walking. Depending on location, occasional moving and lifting of light equipment and/or furniture may be required.
