The Student Intern position is a Work-Based Learning (WBL) course which provides students an opportunity to work on campus with faculty or staff to gain experience in their field of study. The experience will blend what they have learned in the classroom with practical work experience. Only Wake Tech students eligible to apply. Openings for these positions may or may not be available at this time; however, after a review of qualifications, applicants may be contacted in the future., Responsibilities and duties vary based on the assignment for the Work-Based Learning experience. Possible Duties Include Monitoring labs Digitizing and uploading video footage Answering telephones Taking messages and returning calls Collecting and distributing mail Providing assistance to students, Student must meet Work-Based Learning eligibility requirements to apply for the work experience, as well as any academic department requirements.
