WordPress PHP Developer

Job Summary

DigitalXnode is seeking an experienced WordPress and PHP Developer to design, develop, deploy, monitor, and enhance web applications. The role involves extensive hands-on experience in backend architecture and dynamic frontend interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Definition and custom development of web applications using combination of WordPress themes, plugins, custom plug-ins, PHP or Laravel framework
• Development of Frontend which includes Creation of responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, Sass/LESS, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Execution of Database & API Integration: efficient, effective architecture of MySQL database schemas which also include integration of third-party REST/ Graph QL APIs.
• Performance Monitoring Tool Integration & Optimization: Mapping of threads at different nodes to monitor performance and Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security, ensuring high Core Web Vitals scores.
• Integration and maintenance of defined standards of coding which include Content Schema, On-Page SEO, Content Hierarchy and others
• Continuous Maintenance & Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing plugins, themes, and legacy codebases to improve the speed of Web applications
• The Wishlist includes Modern JavaScript Frameworks understanding to develop dynamic, component-based frontend features and headless WordPress solutions using React.js.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive WordPress understanding of the WordPress core, hooks, filters, REST API, and plugin/theme lifecycle.
• Hands on experience with headless WordPress architectures (Jam stack) using Next.js or Frontity.
• Hands on experience in PHP, object-oriented programming (OOP), and MVC architecture.
• Hands-on experience in building scalable web applications using the Laravel framework.
• Extensive Frontend knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), CSS Grid/Flexbox, and responsive design practices.
• Must have experience in web accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
• Hands-on experience building interactive User Interface with React.js
• Database knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and relational database design.
