WordPress Manager (Integrations, SEO, Content Publishing)

About the role

We’re seeking a reliable, early-career WordPress manager to maintain and enhance Wevise.org. You’ll support integrations, SEO improvements, content publishing, and collaborate with Design and our Content team to keep the site modern, accessible, and mission-aligned.

Responsibilities

• Site Maintenance & Updates
  • Upload graphics, update content, and manage plugins
  • Maintain site security, backups, and performance
  • Ensure integrations (forms, analytics, CRM tools) run smoothly
• SEO & Optimization
  • Implement basic SEO best practices (training provided)
  • Improve page speed, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
  • Collaborate with the Content Strategist on keyword alignment
• Collaboration
  • Work with Graphic Design to implement new visuals
  • Support Marketing with landing pages and campaign updates
  • Publish thought leadership content and CTAs for mentors, mentees, donors, and volunteers
  • Communicate and collaborate with product
• Accountability & Communication
  • Meet weekly publishing deadlines
  • Communicate clearly about changes, issues, and updates
  • Maintain documentation of site changes

Requirements

• Experience with WordPress, themes, and plugins
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript
• Strong communication and accountability

Nice-to-have Skills

• Elementor, Divi, or Gutenberg experience
• SEO tools (Yoast, RankMath, SEMRush)
• Experience with nonprofit websites
