WOMEN’S BASKETBALL GRADUATE ASSISTANT COACH

About the role

The Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant Coach position at North Park University is available starting in August 2026. The assistantship includes tuition remission, a partial meal plan, and a $3,000 stipend per semester.

Responsibilities

• Assists the head coach with the daily operations of the women’s basketball program.
• Analyzes performance and instructs athletes in basketball techniques and strategies.
• Executes practice and game planning/evaluation, including video exchange and breakdown.
• Ensures a commitment to the academic success of basketball student-athletes.
• Builds and sustains positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
• Manages equipment usage.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Coaching or playing experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of basketball at the collegiate level are required.
• Applicant must obtain acceptance in a North Park University graduate program.
• Ability to work an untraditional work schedule (frequent nights and weekends).
• Able to lift and move athletic equipment.
• Able to travel with team, by vehicle or plane.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a clear understanding and personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education.
