Graduate Assistant Coach Womens Basketball

Qualifications

• Enrollment: Must be currently accepted in a Master's program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas:
  • Accounting (only two spots available)
  • Business Administration
  • Criminal Justice
  • Management and Organizational Leadership
  • Healthcare Administration (only two spots available)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in [Microsoft Office/Google Workspace]
• Previous experience at the collegiate, club, and/or scholastic levels as a student-athlete and/or coach
• Knowledge of collegiate rules and a demonstrated compliance with said rules

Duties

• Coaching on court, both traditional and nontraditional season
• Recruiting - involves traveling to local high school games and showcases throughout the academic year
• Instructing, advising, and counseling student athletes, which can be in a team setting or one-on-one
• Scouting game - watching film, breaking it down, and providing that information to the head coach and team
• Monitoring academic progress, which involves attendance, Navigate Alerts, mid-term grades, and team study hall

Work Hours & Eligibility

Housing, Work Hours & Duties
Athletics GA positions may include the option for on-campus housing as part of the tuition compensation package. GAs who choose to live on campus are required to work up to 25 hours per week, reflecting additional responsibilities related to both Athletics and Residence Life. GAs who do not choose the housing option are required to work up to 20 hours per week, focusing primarily on Athletics-related responsibilities.

Eligibility: Must be currently accepted in a Master's program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the specified areas.
