Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive coaching sessions for the 1st and 2nd team squads.
• Provide tactical leadership and coaching for the 1st team during fixtures.
• Support individual players to reach their potential.
• Collaborate with the club committee to manage a fair and transparent trials process and team selection.
• Partner with student leadership to establish a high-performance environment.
• Act as a mentor to volunteer and assistant coaches; support sports staff in future coaching recruitment.
• Foster a team environment that is positive, ambitious, inclusive, and competitive.
• Work with university staff to conduct proactive student recruitment to actively recruit prospective students.
• Conduct proactive student recruitment activity, attracting lacrosse players to Oxford Brookes University.

Criteria

• Minimum L1 Coaching qualification In-date
• Emergency First Aid certificate In-date
• Proven track record in delivering sport-specific training and match-day leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of university sport structures (e.g. BUCS) and student-led environments (desirable).
