Women's Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP - WHNP or PA-C)

Health Services of North Texas is seeking a full-time Women's Health provider (APRN, WHNP, PA-C, etc.) to maximize clinical experience by providing exceptional patient care across a broad range of integrated healthcare solutions. Our providers operate at the highest level of expertise as they provide comprehensive, team-based care in a fast-paced environment within a non-profit, community healthcare setting. We treat patients from all walks of life—regardless of socio-economic status—for a wide range of acute and chronic physical, mental, and social health conditions in collaboration with a team of medical professionals. HSNT is seeking providers passionate about providing care, education, and resources in a community health setting to patients and families with limited medical options.

Responsibilities

• Reviews initial intake, health history, and laboratory test results, performs physical examination, and designs treatment plans catered to patient's health services to include a wide range of care to women, inclusive of prenatal and postnatal care
• Provides additional assessments and evaluation of drug therapies and treatment regimen during routine follow-up clinic visits, ensuring patients continue to receive effective, efficient primary health care
• Maintains open consulting relationship with the physician to ensure delivery of the most effective medical care
• Educates client on medication regimens and drug adherence
• Provides ongoing primary medical care to patients, including medical history, evaluation, appropriate treatment for women's health-related care and/or other conditions according to Public Health Service Treatment Guidelines including American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and gives referrals to specialists for needs that exceed the scope of primary care
• Maintains referral base of specialists to provide services for our patient base as needed
• Maintains patient records in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards
• Provides ongoing guidance and supervision of medical care of patients to other clinical providers
• Provides training and orientation for new clinical providers
• Adheres to all agency and clinic policies and procedures
• Participates in quality management studies
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current Texas licensure as an APRN (WHNP, FNP, or other qualifying specialty) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Minimum two years of women's health post-licensure clinical experience required
• Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive women's health care, including gynecologic services, contraception management, well-woman exams, and prenatal/postnatal care
• Experience performing and managing IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals
• Strong experience providing direct prenatal and postnatal care
• Strong communication skills and a professional, compassionate approach to patient care
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
