Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties in the WIC clinic, including direct supervision of the WIC Administrative Team at the Colleton and Holly Hill Health Departments.
- Collaborate with all disciplines and administration to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in service provision in a culturally competent and customer-friendly environment.
- Supervise and instruct WIC team members on proper WIC guidelines.
- Maintain audits, conduct training, maintain training records, and manage EPMS for individual staff.
- Provide and document feedback and appraisals for staff.
- Deliver culturally competent customer service while greeting and interviewing public health clients according to WIC program and agency policies.
- Answer telephones and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Process information, complete medical records, and enter client data into applicable electronic applications or SCWIC systems as mandated.
- Ensure staff compliance with program and agency guidelines for issuance of eWIC cards in the SCWIC system and Farmers' Market benefits.
- Follow established guidelines for customer service and cultural competency, ensuring staff adhere to WIC Program Customer Service Complaint procedures.
- Attend relevant program and agency training and meetings.
- Ensure necessary materials and resources are available for administrative staff.
- Prepare and submit required reports as mandated or requested.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
- Ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 WPM.
- Some positions require a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

- Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer or their delegate.
