WMUR Engineering and Production Intern
About the role
The Engineering and Production internship at WMUR-TV provides hands-on experience in various technical areas of a television station. It aims to expose students to real-world daily technical operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment under the supervision of permanent staff members.
- Gain training in production (floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter, editing, directing).
- Learn air operations (master control).
- Understand engineering (installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems).
- Gain IT-related training.
Requirements
Internships are scheduled based on mutual availability and academic schedule and requirements, but may consist of up to 24-hours per week. Students will rotate through different areas of engineering and production.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant college program.
- Expected to graduate within the next 1-2 years.
- Available to intern full-time during the summer.
- Interest in production and engineering fields.
Skills
Basic computer skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
