WMH Social Services Manager

About the role

The Manager shall be responsible for carrying out the established policies and procedures of planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating the provision of Social Worker services to all patients in the Hospital. The Manager shall have a thorough knowledge of Social Work principles, current practices and methodology. Knowledge of the basic principles of supervision, organization and administration. Knowledge of the more common illnesses and their social, economic and psychological implications to the patient. Ability to communicate by making clear and pertinent statements, both orally and in writing. Ability to work in cooperation with other disciplines to provide optimum care for acute care patients.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work
• PA License in Social Work
• At least three years of experience in the Social Services field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
