Job Summary
To support the Postpartum and NICU teams at the Women's and Infants Service Line across MGMC and CRMC campuses, you will:
- Design, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education.
- Facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency of staff, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.
- Ensure that your work contributes to the quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care.
- Demonstrate strong instructional design capabilities, expert clinical knowledge, and the ability to engage and develop healthcare professionals.
- Perform initial and ongoing educational needs assessment.
- Collaborate with department leaders in identifying and developing initial and ongoing competencies.
- Create and document education plans in partnership with leadership team to meet strategic and operational initiatives of the organization.
- Utilize adult education theories and principles to foster the educational development of participants.
- Author curriculum and implement educational in-services, classes, courses, and programs based on identified education needs and using traditional, non-traditional, and innovative methods of instruction, including the use of technology and simulation.
- Submit documentation in support of education, including attendance rosters, course evaluation documents, and competency validation tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science Nursing
- 5 years clinical practice in area of specialty
- Experience with Windows and word processing applications
- Registered Nurse: AZ
- American Heart Association BLS
- PREFERRED: Other Specialty certification and 2 years teaching upon hire
- Other Experience with spreadsheets, databases, graphics applications, upon hire
