About the Role
As a Wireless Technician II, you will transition from standard installations to independently managing complex RF deployments. This role is for a high-level technician who can troubleshoot performance issues on the fly, interpret intricate engineering drawings, and has experience in low voltage and cabling.
Responsibilities
- Technical Installation: Install antennas, radios, mounts, and RF cables with a focus on accuracy and craftsmanship.
- Systems Integration: Perform cable routing, grounding, and weatherproofing to meet strict code requirements.
- Testing & Tech: Conduct basic equipment setup, configuration, and assist in testing/troubleshooting and RF studies.
- Site Management: Maintain flawless site documentation and photo records to ensure project closeouts are seamless.
- Safety Stewardship: Execute all fieldwork according to company safety protocols, ensuring a zero-incident environment for yourself and your team.
Requirements
- 2+ years in related industry.
- Flexible: Some weeks you’ll be working at a local job site, but most weeks you’ll be traveling to sites in our market area across New York, northern New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
- Hands-on experience working on active construction sites as buildings are erected, as part of a small team to install and test systems.
- OSHA 10 certification required or will need to be obtained after employment.
- Experience in RF/telecom field experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of RF systems, site infrastructure, and testing equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, PIM testers, etc.).
- Demonstrate professional conduct, clear communication, and a productive attitude toward team members and customers.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the physical ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- NICET IB-PSC Technician I or II certification is highly preferred but not necessary.
