Wire/RAM EDM Machining Specialist (Setup and Operations)

About the role

The Wire/RAM EDM Machining Specialist is responsible for setting up and operating wire and RAM EDM machines to produce precision metal parts. This role requires a strong understanding of EDM processes and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during production.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wire and RAM EDM machines to produce precision metal parts.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to keep it running smoothly.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines.
• Document all setups, operations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in EDM machining.
• Proficiency in using wire and RAM EDM machines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with some college coursework in engineering or a related field.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metalworking processes and materials.
• Experience with CNC programming and CAM software.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.
