Wire Harness Fabrication Associate

1st Shift (8:30- 5pm) 12 Month Contract Elmendorf, Texas (On-Site)

• Responsible for fabricating and assembling wire harnesses and cable assemblies according to engineering drawings, schematics, and requestor specifications.
• Perform tasks such as measuring, cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and terminating wires using hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Route and bundle wires, install connectors, labels, heat shrink tubing, and protective sleeves to ensure proper fit and function.
• Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and quality inspections to verify compliance with industry standards and production requirements.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot wiring issues and identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototype automotive-type wire harnesses assemblies, including soldering and crimping.
• Vehicle installation of wire harnesses and overlays.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, drawings, written and verbal descriptions.
• Inspect wire harnesses.
• Operate wire harness fabrication equipment efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment.
• Perform general labor around the facility and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with vehicle-level electrical system troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Ability to read automotive vehicle electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of oscilloscopes and digital voltage ohmmeters.
• Experience collecting data using a Canalyzer or similar devices.
• Basic MS Office skills.
