About the role
AIE is seeking a Wire Harness Assembler to join our team full-time. This role supports the production of high-quality wire harnesses for industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, strip, splice, and crimp wires using manual and automated tools to industry standards.
- Install terminals, connectors, seals, and heat shrink tubing per specification.
- Bundle and secure wire harnesses using cable ties, tape, and clamps to meet rugged vibration, heat, and chemical exposure requirements.
- Perform quality tests to verify quality and functionality.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues, escalating complex problems to supervisors or engineering as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Document work completed and ensure traceability through quality documentation and labeling.
Requirements
- Previous experience in wire harness assembly or electrical assembly, preferably in an automotive, diesel engine, or heavy equipment environment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, and measuring equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Use of a PC to access documentation and record production activity.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematic drawings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
