Wire Harness Assembler
AdeptHR is hiring a Wire Harness Assembler for a growing manufacturer of advanced Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) in Monrovia, CA. This is a hands-on production position focused on building and assembling the wiring and cabling used in UPS systems. Temp-to-hire opportunity with potential to transition to a permanent position after approximately six months of consistent performance.
About The Role
You'll work from engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and visual references to produce high-quality wire harnesses and perform light soldering work.
Responsibilities
- Build wire harnesses and cabling according to engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs
- Measure and cut wire to required specifications
- Crimp connectors and terminals onto wires
- Perform light soldering of wire harnesses to PCB boards and other connectors
- Inspect and verify incoming materials before assembly
- Inspect completed cables and harnesses for accuracy and quality
- Identify acceptable versus poor-quality crimps
- Use crimping tools, soldering tools, drills, and other hand and power tools
- Follow written, verbal, pictorial, and engineering drawing instructions
- Plan assembly work and maintain close attention to detail
- Follow established production and workmanship standards
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Requirements
- At least 1 year of related wire harness, cable assembly, or electro-mechanical assembly experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Experience cutting wire and crimping connectors
- Ability to recognize good versus poor-quality crimps
- Experience with basic soldering is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with different types of hardware and electrical components
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and crimpers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
