Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide individualized assessment of work, family and personal development needs and opportunities for adult and dislocated workers.
- Create application in the NCWorks system for customers who have provided all required documents.
- Scan all documents into NCWorks to ensure all documents for determining eligibility are correctly uploaded.
- Determine customer eligibility, provide program orientation, complete objective assessment and individualized employment plan.
- Build professional one-on-one working relationships with participants to assist in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment.
- Encourage individuals to participate in and follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency.
- Oversee participant activities and assist with workshop schedules.
- Create solutions to participant attendance problems.
- Maintain organized database of customers and keep detailed documentation of all contacts.
- Maintain participant files as specified by contractor.
- Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies.
- Provide consistent and comprehensive case management follow-up and retention services, ensuring that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract while accommodating participant work schedules.
- Document all participant contacts and activities in case progress notes within NCWorks Online.
- Ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract.
- Serve as staff in the NCWorks Career Center and cross-train to achieve Integrated Service Delivery goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; or Associate Degree and two years of experience managing data and customer interactions;
- An appropriate combination of education and/or experience.
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge of WIOA policies and procedures.
- Career counseling experience.
