Winter Park Emergency Experienced RN FT Nights

About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) supports the Emergency Department (ED) at AdventHealth Winter Park. The ED is a 29-bed facility with specialized rooms for various patient needs, including pediatrics, trauma, bariatrics, OB-GYN, and isolation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing [Preferred]
• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]; ACLS and PALS also required for ED RNs - all certifications can be obtained via RQI during hire

$31.53 - $52.24 per hour
