About the role

As an intern at Land O’Lakes, you’ll join a Fortune 250 agribusiness and food‑production leader with over 100 years of farmer‑ and member‑owned cooperative operations. You’ll gain hands‑on, purpose‑driven experience across business units such as crop insight and inputs, animal nutrition, dairy foods, and sustainability solutions. WinField United provides unmatched agricultural expertise as a customer‑owned wholesale supplier of crop protection inputs, seed, and crop nutrients, helping farmers and retailers implement modern farming practices. During the internship you’ll network with industry leaders, tour state‑of‑the‑art facilities, and be challenged with a business‑critical project that will impact your career trajectory. This internship also serves as a gateway to the WinField United Associate Program, a two‑year rotational full‑time program.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Sophomore or Junior (preferred) undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Ag Systems Technology, Digital Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Required GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Skills (Preferred)

• Interest in pursuing an advanced degree in Agronomy, Crop Sciences, or a related field.
• Interest in technical agronomy and becoming a subject‑matter expert.
• Prior experience in sales or ag retail, with a focus on customer interaction.
• Familiarity with the ag retail system.
• Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize, and implement projects and general work tasks.
• Resourceful and innovative in finding solutions to problems.
