Wine Experience Specialist

Part-time position in Encinitas, CA.

About the role

This hybrid position combines front-of-house hospitality with back-of-house operational support. The ideal candidate blends food and beverage experience with a passion for wine culture. This role requires availability for prime weekend shifts, specifically Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and sales support across the bar and retail floor.
• Conduct directed tastings and articulate wine profiles, pairings, and stories to guests.
• Process orders efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist in maintaining floor visual standards.
• Open and close the tasting room during designated Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening shifts.

Requirements

• Over 21.
• Valid Driver’s License; Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record; Proof of Insurance; Background Check.
• Minimum 1 year in hospitality, food/beverage and/or retail preferred.
• Knowledge of wine products and the wine industry required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move wine cases (approx. 40-50 lbs) regularly.

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
