Window Treatment Installer

About The Role

At The Shade Store, we are seeking a Window Treatment Installer to join our team. This position offers competitive base wage, plus commission, plus guaranteed full-time hours and overtime availability. Position Responsibilities

• Perform in-home measurements and installations of custom window treatment product lines, including roller/solar shades, Roman shades, and drapery, as well as wooden blinds and more.
• Learn and apply motorization installation and programming techniques for complex motorized products.
• Provide customers with a world-class experience during each measure and install appointment.
• Develop and implement effective solutions to challenges and obstacles related to window treatment installation.
• Communicate and collaborate with headquarters support teams while on-site and on-site.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in carpentry, custom installation, or a transferable skilled trade.
• Significant experience with hand and power tools, including but not limited to power drill, impact driver, and level.
• Proven ability to measure accurately within 1/8" using manual and laser measurers.
• Significant customer service and in-home service experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a high level of integrity.
• A strong understanding of basic to advanced technology with computers, mobile devices, and tablets.
• Valid driver's license and insurable.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds and climb up to 26' in height.

Qualifications

Highly preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with multiple types of fasteners, anchors, and drill bits.
• Proven ability to use computer systems and tablets.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Proficiency with basic to advanced technology.

Pay and Schedule

The Shade Store offers a competitive base wage, plus commission, and the possibility of monthly individual incentives based on experience and qualifications.
